2009 Subaru Impreza WRX

The new all-wheel drive 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX is all performance and handling. Under the hood the turbo charged Boxer engine provides 265 horsepower to bring performance of this new model to a higher level. Adding up to that is the retuned suspension and the low profile summer performance tires. The 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX comes with a 5-speed manual transmission that makes it so much fun to drive.

Subaru is also introducing a new 2.5GT Impreza model with the Impreza WRX in the same year. The 2.5GT model is powered by a 224-horsepower turbo charged intercooled engine with a standard 4 speed electronically controlled automatic transmission that comes with a SPORTSHIFT. Both the models can be purchased as either the 4 or 5 door version. Like always Subaru has equipped these 2 models with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
The main Goal of the 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX team was to strengthen; this was achieved through tweaking the performance for the 2009 model.

Performance & Handling
The Symmetrical all wheel drive comes standard as the core technology on Subaru models for the brilliant handling.
The 2009 Subaru WRX uses a viscous coupling locking center differential system that distributes torque 50:50 front and rear. If slippage occurs the differential handles the situation by transferring more power to the wheels with the best traction.
The suspension of the 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX is re-tuned to give sharper turn-in and in overall provide more responsive handling. Also the suspension has been stiffened without making reinforcement adjustments to the already strong Subaru Impreza body structure.

Body Styling & Interior
This model comes with a new STI-type grille that carries the WRX badge. Both the 2009 Subaru Impreza sedan and 5-door also come with front and rear under-bumper spoilers. Subaru has given a low profile rear trunk spoiler for the sedan and for the 5-door the Subaru Impreza WRX STI rear spoiler and a rear diffuser.
The rally-inspired interior of this model provides new comfort and spaciousness. The interior comes with WRX-exclusive checkered upholstery accented by red stitching. The standard leather-wrapped steering wheel is accented by red stitching and standard aluminum-alloy pedal covers now include the drivers footrest.

Advanced Technology
The navigation screen is placed at the top of the dashboard to give improved visibility and ease of use. The center console has a RCA-type video jacks that can accommodate portable gaming devices. The WRX also comes with a 6-disc in dash changer featuring MP3/WMA file format capability, also 10 upgrade speakers and SRS circle surround sound. Apart from these options the 2009 Subaru WRX comes with many other technology features.

Safety
The 2009 models come with side-curtain air bags, also frontal airbag system (SRS) features front seat side impact airbags and the driver side front airbag that deploys according to drivers proximity to the steering. On the passenger side front seat is equipped with a sensor to detect weight which first determines if it’s occupied, and if so determines whether it’s a child or adult based on the weight to deploy airbags safely. All 2009 Subaru models also come with the 4 disc airbag system to provide efficient and safe braking.
